How long does the process take?
Most rooms are completed in 3 to 4 weeks, with multi room projects taking 4 to 6 weeks. Your exact timeline will be outlined in your proposal and may vary depending on scope and feedback.
What does "virtual" actually mean - will you really understand my space?
Yes. You’ll share photos and room dimensions and I’ll draw everything up in software so everything is clear and accurate. I've designed rooms this way for over 8 years so the process is well established and reliable.
You’ll also see your space through detailed, to-scale renderings before you purchase anything - no uncertainty, no surprises.
How much time do I actually need to give this?
The initial questionnaire takes about 30-45 minutes. You'll share photos, room dimensions and give feedback at a couple of key points in the process. After that, all you need to do is put the design together in your home once everything is approved and all furniture and decor is ordered.
Can I do more than one room?
Yes, many clients choose to design multiple rooms so their home feels cohesive. I now offer a Multi Room Bundle, which makes it easier to plan several spaces together while saving on the overall investment.
What if I want to change something after the project is complete?
Revisions are built into each stage, so by the final phase everything feels right. If something changes later, you can always come back for additional support at my hourly rate.
What does the ordering and tracking optional service actually cover?
Once your design is approved, I place every order, track every delivery and handle any delays, damaged items or returns on your behalf.
There’s no spreadsheets or chasing couriers. And you’ll get notified when things arrive. I made this a bonus because some clients don’t have the time or patience to manage the order themselves.
So you can select this option to save you time, effort and peace of mind that it’s all being handled by me for only an additional $500.
Do I need to know my style before we start?
No. Many clients say they know what they like and what they don’t, but they don’t know what their style is - that's a fine place to start. I work from images rather than words so you don’t need to know how to describe it, that's my job.
What's the guarantee?
I work until you love the result. Revisions are included at every stage of the process for exactly this reason. I don't consider a project done until you're genuinely happy with it.
What if I pay for the design and can't afford to buy everything at once?
Your design doesn't expire. You can purchase items at your own pace, starting with key pieces and layering the rest over time. Many clients choose to do it this way.
Should I wait until things calm down first?
You could. But typically things don't tend to calm down - and I think you already know that. The space that's been almost done for quite some time didn't get that way because the timing was wrong. Life is full. The question is whether you want to continue to carry this, or decide today that you don't have to.
